General Online Trial Rules

This league is separate to our physical/in person trials so you do not need to work at the level or on the odour you normally do.

Each competition will have 1st – 5th placings as well as accumulating points towards the overall league.

£10 per entry

Novice and Intermediate Levels.

Each search is a maximum of 3 minutes.

On or off leash/line.

One hide, Any odour.

The odour tier time system does not apply for this league.

You will place your hide based on the level you enter.

Novice hide = the dog must be able to get to source. Intermediate hide = dog must not be able to get to source.

You will choose your hide placement, Points will be awarded for how appropriate and complex the hide is for your level.

You may pick either level of the league to compete at, this will not impact your entry level for standard DDT trials.

Points will also be awarded depending on the complexity of the search area.

Film your first search, we will know if you guide the dog to the hide or have worked it before!

All of the standard DDT scorings areas will also apply.

You may enter as many dogs as you like.

The league does not qualify you for end of year Championships, this league is a stand alone competition.

We welcome entries from all over the globe, so please share with your friends if they would like to enter.

Please note, we may not be able to send you a rosette if outside the UK, however if this is the case we will provide you with an E-Certificate of achievement.

We should be able to see the whole search area, you and your dog. If we cannot adequately judge your entry from the footage submitted, you will have one chance to resubmit your entry within 24hrs of initial deadline. No refunds will be given.

Entries must be submitted by private message to the Detection Dog Trials Facebook page. If they are posted anywhere else we will not be able to find and judge them.
